He was born in Rome on December 25, 1976 and grew up in the EUR district.
He is fluent in Italian, English and French.
He attended the famed Istituto Massimiliano Massimo during the years of primary and secondary schools, obtaining the High-School Diploma in Classical Studies in 1995.
He enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the University of Roma Tre and attained the title of Doctor of Law in 2002, discussing an experimental thesis in Private Law with a comparative analysis between the Italian and common law systems.
His professional experience began in his last year of university, when he collaborated with the consulting firm Network Consulting Group in its Rome and Milan offices.
In 2003 he moved to the United States, and lived in the cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, Berkeley and San Francisco.
Admitted to the prestigious University of California Berkeley, he was awarded an International Diploma in Business Administration with distinction and matured an experience in the renowned investment bank Merrill Lynch, prior to his return to Italy, where he spent 2 years working for the Dutch credit institution ABN AMRO.
In January 2006 he moved to Luxembourg, where he still resides.
Since 2007, he has been providing independent strategic and management consultancy to international financial institutions (banks, funds and other investment companies active in a wide variety asset classes and market niches), and advisory in financial products and extraordinary transactions. All this supported by an entrepreneurial activity that over the years has seen him as founding partner and managing director of Baumann & Partners, an asset management company authorized by the Luxembourg Supervisory Commission of the Financial Sector, and currently as founding partner and general manager of Finconsulting.
Finconsulting is an independent advisory firm authorized by the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy, which provides a wide range of solutions and services in the areas of strategy consultancy, business consultancy, project management and local management to institutional and semi-institutional clients, family offices, High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) investors.
Besides its deep roots in the territory, the company boasts a consolidated and extensive network of international partners and collaborators, located mainly in Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
With a profound expertise in asset management and in the creation, structural management and business process improvement of the various types of investment companies, since 2007 he has also held the position of Independent Board Member in important investment vehicles and management companies, including Duemme International Luxembourg, a company of the Mediobanca Group incorporated under Luxembourg law, which specializes in the management of Sicav, UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds.
Over the last 13 years, he has participated and led numerous projects ranging from the structuring and restructuring of a number of investment funds, management companies and securitization companies, to the issuance of debt and participating equity instruments, including the procedure for admission to official listing.
Having been a long-time consultant of various international companies active in the production of energy from renewable sources, and certain of the benefit hitherto only partially understood that the new forms of energy generation and management can carry, he has undertaken with a small number of partners, who have a multi-year industrial experience in new technologies applied to renewable sources, the ambitious ReV – Renewable Value project.
ReV offers the prospect of significantly increasing the yield of indirect investments in “renewable” asset classes through a significant increase in the efficiency of the underlying wind and photovoltaic plants, mainly due to proprietary technological upgrades and solutions that are sustainable throughout the entire life cycle.
